Customs: Russia’s car exports doubles on month to 5,700 in June
MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s car exports almost doubled on the month to 5,700 vehicles and to U.S. $105.5 million in monetary terms in June, the Federal Customs Service said on Monday.
Imports of cars rose by 52.3% to 16,800 worth $321 million, a 36.7% growth.
In January–June, car exports fell by 44% on the year to 30,600 worth $461 million, a 39.7% decrease. Car imports fell by 34.5% to 91,400 and 43% to $2.178 billion.
Russia’s truck imports more than doubled to 1,800 units and rose 22% to $29.8 million in June. They fell by 38.8% on the year to 8,400 worth $468.5 million, a 54.6% fall, in January–June.
Truck exports fell by 59.4% to 900 worth $56.7 million, a 42.7% decrease, in June. They fell by 12.2% to 5,700 worth $147.8 million, a 5% drop, in January–June.
